For over 40 years, NOVA has been educating and entertaining millions of television viewers with stories of scientific discovery— from the latest breakthroughs in technology to the deepest mysteries of the natural world. NOVA Education helps educators bring these compelling stories to students by providing free videos, interactive tools, and lesson planning resources.
The NOVA collection on PBS LearningMedia contains over 900 resources from NOVA’s broadcast and digital productions that educators can use in their lessons to spark and enrich student knowledge of STEM (Science Technology Engineering Mathematics). NOVA’s resources are primarily designed for use in middle and high school STEM classrooms.
All the resources are organized by Next Generation Science Standards in the left column. Clicking on the “+” next to each content area will reveal a list of the disciplinary core ideas by which you can browse all the resources. Beyond the NGSS, we’ve also added sections for social and behavioral sciences as well as profiles of people in STEM and collections for special digital and broadcast productions.
